The core kit
- One reliable pen that does not smear on your paper.
- Plain letter paper or cards that leave room for real writing.
- Matching envelopes in one or two sizes.
- Address labels or a simple address guide card.
- A small set of stickers, paper tabs, or washi tape for accents.
- A folder or box to keep unfinished letters clean.
Choose a theme system
Instead of buying every cute supply, pick three repeatable themes: calm, bright, and seasonal. Each theme can have a paper color, accent color, and one kind of decoration. A smaller system makes your letters look more intentional.
Keep a prompt bank
Store ten questions on an index card. When you sit down to write, choose one and answer it yourself before asking it back. This keeps letters from becoming a list of updates.
